What window tint is legal on front side windows in Ohio?

Front side windows must measure 50% or lighter through the glass and film combined. Factory glass already reduces light, so 50% film usually falls below that limit. 70% film is the safe choice for front side windows; Jr. checks the combined reading.

Can I choose a darker shade for the rear windows?

Ohio allows any shade on rear side and back glass. Jr. will discuss visibility and your vehicle before you choose.

What is the difference between the HITEK films?

HITEK Carbon IR has 60% infrared rejection, Ceramic IR has 75%, and Ceramic Ultra has 98%. Infrared rejection is not the same as total solar heat rejection or the darkness of a shade.

How do I get a window tint quote?

Text or call Jr. with your vehicle’s year, make, model, the windows you want tinted, and your preferred film. He’ll walk you through the options.

How long does an installation take?

Timing depends on the vehicle, the windows being tinted, and whether existing film needs removal. Jr. will discuss timing when you book and keep you updated during the work.

How should I care for my newly tinted windows?

Follow the curing and cleaning instructions Jr. gives you at pickup. Ask when you can roll the windows down, and use film-safe cleaning products.

Ohio-legal for front side windows

Suggested front-side film choice; confirm the installed glass + film reads 50% or lighter.

Ohio’s front side windows must measure 50% or lighter through glass and film combined. Factory glass plus 50% film usually reads below the limit. Even 70% film needs a combined measurement. Preview is illustrative, not a guarantee of appearance or legal compliance.

Infrared rejection is not total solar heat rejection. Film performance and shade are different choices.
